Falcons 2019 Draft: The One Matt Ryan Deserved

If the Falcons front office was looking for a draft class to save their jobs, the 2019 class is likely not going to provide that for them.

And that’s not to say it was a bad draft, either. It’s just the immediate pay-off won’t be felt in year one from the majority of the players.

But for a staff entering the 2019 season on the hot seat, they may not have that kind of time to see their work through. So is there any reason to feel good about this incoming class?

Falcon Eye Toward the Future – Part Three: Who Could the Falcons Draft in 2019?

At the Falcons end of season press conference, Thomas Dimitroff declared that 2019 will be a busy offseason. And unlike other parts of the presser such as the qualifications of the next offensive coordinator, I believe we can take these words to heart.

Back in 2016, following a disappointing rookie season for Dan Quinn, the team went out and added two impact free agents in Alex Mack and Mohamed Sanu. A similar fate awaits the Falcons in 2019.
