There’s nothing better than a timeless tradition. Sometimes that means getting together with the family and watching a movie at the local theater, or maybe tossing a baseball in the front yard. As of late, the most common tradition has been to yell about who is the best wide receiver in the NFL.
In one corner, you have Julio Jones, as quiet off the field as he is dominant. The man had offseason toe surgery, but his biggest storyline of the year was about a lost earring. He’s as dominant as they come and was voted as the top wideout on the NFL Network Top 100.
Then you have Antonio Brown, who boasts one of the worst haircuts in the league but is probably the most polished route runner. His end-zone celebrations notwithstanding, Brown is about as good as it gets. For a former 6th-round pick, not bad. Not bad at all.
Odell Beckham Jr. makes some of the craziest catches you’ll ever see, but his temper and ego often get the best of him. Beckham recently injured his ankle in a meaningless preseason game, but his 2017 season should still be all systems go.
Then there’s the forgotten man, AJ Green, who’s as talented as they come but suffers from getting injured too much and playing in small-market Cincinnati. If the Bengals’ offensive line doesn’t implode this year, Green should put up mega numbers once again.
Mike Evans has blossomed into one of the league’s best, but he won’t get the recognition he deserves until the Bucs start winning. His one-handed grab while getting absolutely blasted by Keanu Neal was just special.
There is one thing that all of these players do have in common: none of them have a ring. Votes should probably be based off of career production, consistency, dominance, and yeah maybe who’s on your favorite team. Who am I to judge?
With that said, who ya got? Sound off in the poll below.
